Day #3,

Today pretty much turned out just as I had planned at the beginning of the day. The only thing that really sucked was the draft. It was a whole lot more boring than I had planned. I thought that there was going to be this big draft conspiracy where the number one team traded there picked for the number 2 pick and everyone goes crazy. Turns out not, just an old guy standing there, behind a podium, with the back ground noise of vuvuzela's. And for all of those who don't watch World Cup Soccer (Fifa is a bitch) a vuvuzela is an African noise maker that makes the most annoying sound you will ever hear. It makes you double take whn you turn on a baseball game and hear a vuvuzela. You think "I thought it was the world cup, not the world series." Hahaha thats a knee slapper and bu-dum-sh.

The day started the usual way, I got woken up by the tele-marketers and helped myself to a nice bowl of Apple-Jacks. I deserve to eat food like that after living with my mom for 12 years. Though the other day we did go to KFC and thomas bought me a KFC double down chicken sandwich, but that was ruined when he told me that they grossed HIM out! That totaly sucked, because if a food grosses thomas out you know that it must be made of mustard. Eww.

Anyway, after that I sat on my brown swivel chair and watched countless NBA draft preview shows on countless different channels. I hated listening to the same thing over and over and over again so I tuned it off and played Nerf ball with my new red and purple ball that will probably be lost once i take it to my house. I did this for a few hours until I had a nice lunch of Hebrew national Hot-dogs. they get better every time I eat them. it almost makes me want to make a commercial out of it.

"When I say Hebrew you say National, Hebrew National go blend of meats, usually chicken, beef, pork, or turkey and then meat fat, oatmeal, bread crumbs, various seasonings, and other ingredients. They are then mushed together and put into hot dog molds. Store bought hot dogs are put into cellulose casings, but homemade are usually made of intestines that people try to caaal meat! That might not make sense.

After that encounter I went to the basketball court again to make my self esteem drop again because of the shitty rim that they put there. Grandma made me bring a water bottle this time so instead of drinking out of it i poured it on my head every few minutes to keep cool. No one was there gain today. i thought that they must have been at the pool, but when I checked with grandma I found out that the only pool in Goldendale in history was the one in our back yard. On the way home, while listening to our audiobook I saw the guy who I played basketball with yesterday. He gave me the head nod and me, trying to be as black as my white skin would allow, nodded back.

When we got home I laid on the bed, watching several draft preview shows. it really sucked, even up until the draft too. The draft was so boring in fact, it might still be going on. Oh yeah its still going on and it started at 4:30! Portland got this guy called Elliot Williams. That totally sucked.

just another old day in Goldedale...

*Caution* this post contains lots and lots of sarcasm so don't believe everything you read... good life lesson.

Life is Beginning to feel like a Routine,

My life is beginning to start to feel like a routine again. Everyday I wake up and go to school and stay at school and than go to my mom's salon and be bored all the time that I am there. That is exactly what happened today. I woke up, feeling very dizzy, and got out of bed. I was rubbing my back all the way from out of bed to the dresser to put my cloths on. I threw on the new jeans my mom got for me the day earlier. They were a tight fit but they looked fantastic on me. I put on my shirt and walked out of my crappy door.
When I got downstairs I found my mom on the couch pumping milk for my brother. She said hello and I said the same. After that there was a weird awkward silence. Than I went into the kitchen and got myself a bowl of cereal to eat. It was the banana almond kind that I hated, but I ate it anyway because I was hungry as hell.
Than I realized that today was a late start, the day were are school is so lazy they start school 3 hours later. Yep that's our school all right.

My mom left for work a couple minutes ago and now me and Thomas are watching NBATV from the night before. It was A spurs vs. Heat game and the Heat were getting blown out at home. I heard the doorbell ring and that was the sign that my brothers nanny was here, which meant that me and Thomas were going to go to school pretty soon... after he was done texting.
After the usual greetings were over me and Thomas left and started listening to the local radio station. That was fun. I told him that there was going to be a blazer game tomorrow. He said "ok," in a bored voice.
When we finally got to school I went to hang with Milo by the side of the school were he usually was. We said hi right as the bell rang so our meeting was cut short.
Japanese was boring, we were writing a persuasive letter to the principal about whether year round school was good or not. Math was boring to, we talked about finding the area of a circle and how to find the area of a shapes net. In science, Mr. Groom was gone again, so we watched that moon movie. Which was fun. In Language we played a literature game which shouldn't be characterized as a game because it was so boring.

Rancid smells good.

Anyone that knows me, knows that my favorite band has and always will be, The Ramones. Bit last week on the bus I discovered a band that I absolutely loved. Rancid.

My mom's old boyfriend, Ron had put a bunch of random songs on my I pod when i first got it. at first i didn't really care about the songs that had been there i had just listened to the new stuff that my mom had put on there, like Lady Gaga and Kris Allen.

I was on the bus, on my way to my mom's hair salon after school. I was listening to my Ipod, kind of exploring what Ron had but on there. There was The Milkmen, Dig and... Rancid? I new that Rancid had been on my Ipod, but I had never taken the time to actually listen to any of the songs. I said what the heck to myself. I pressed the middle button and was suddenly was captivated by the sounds that the band made.

I was in love with this band. I listened to Ruby Soho at least 3 times before i stopped. It was amazing music.

Now i think that Rancid is my favorite band. I know weird, right.

My dad learns how to play basketball

I woke up, feeling very nauseous. I got myself up and propped myself up on my pillow.

My mom would kill me if i woke up to early, she would say "you need to sleep more!" And i would always say "Mom i am a big boy now i don't need to sleep for 11 hours anymore," and she would give me a funny look.

I heaved myself off of my bed. My heels felt like i had been standing for 3 hours, which is weird because i had just slept for 11 hours. I quickly walked into the bathroom and went to the pee. I slowly opened the door in case my mom had already woken up. I walked downstairs and laid down on the couch and closed my eyes. Yes i got out of bed to fall asleep downstairs.

The next thing i now my mom is waking me up.

"What time did you wake up Eli?" She asked me.

"Aww i love you to, mom," i said sarcastically. She laughed. She told me that she was going to go pretty soon and i said okay that's cool. After she left I started playing my basketball video-game when i heard my phone vibrate. I checked to see who it was. It was my dad. He was the best person i have ever known and we hadn't talked in a while.

The text said:

Hey Eli I am in Portland right now and i have to be to Gresham by 4 but i have a pretty lax schedule between now and then. Would yo mind if i dropped in to your home and hang out there for a while.

I replied by saying ya sure.

2 HOURS LATER

Me and my dad had decided to play a game of basketball. He wasn't that good at first but with my great teaching skills and his great hand eye coordination he started making most of his shots. He even made a DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP three pointer.

I was on fire through the whole thing. I didn't miss a single jumpshot.

After we were done we went inside and watched Star Trek...

"Set fazers on hell yeah."

CGS (Chronic Guilt Syndrome)

CGS (Chronic Guilt Syndrome) is a disease that few have.

CGS happens when you get guilty about something that you had nothing to do with. Like if you are watching a movie and something bad happens to the main character and you blame yourself. I have CGS, myself.

One time me and my mom were watching locked up abroad and this lady went to prison because some dude stuffed her bag with pot. Halfway through the show i just burst out crying because i felt so sorry and it made me feel so guilty.

Side effects include: Chronic sorry saying, random coughing, crying, random pregnancies, blood cots.
